Marathon Runner Prediction Model

This project used three years of marathon data to predict runners’ final positions in upcoming events. Data included race times, runner profiles, and course details.

A startup wanted to use the machine learning models to assist organizers with pacing strategies, wave grouping, and event logistics.

The system aimed to improved race flow, resource use, and runner experience through accurate performance forecasts.

“Richard is the best data scientist I have bump into. He truly goes above and beyond to make sure his client(s) are fully satisfied with his work. The price he charges is worth the quality of work that he produces. I would HIGHLY recommend Richard to anyone who is looking for a thoroughly completed project along with an opportunity to learn a lot !”
